Affiche_Cyrano.jpgAffiche_Le_Bossu.jpgIn 1989, Gérard Depardieu played the title role in "Cyrano de Bergerac" by Jean-Paul Rappeneau. This film marked a new relationship between our historical heart and the cinema. In 1997 Philippe De Broca made “Le Bossu”, played by Daniel Auteuil and also featuring Marie Gillain, Fabrice Luchini and Vincent Pérez. In the same year, the musketeers of "The Man In The Iron Mask" graced our streets under the direction of Randall Wallace. This film featured, among others, Gerard Depardieu, Léonardo Di Caprio and Jeremy Irons.

Also filmed in Le Mans: in 1974, "Que la Fête Commence" by Bertrand Tavernier, with Philippe Noiret, Jean-Pierre Marielle and Jean Rochefort, in 1971 "La Dame de Monsoreau" by Andrei Yannick, in 1981 "Le Beau Mariage" by Eric Rohmer, in 1990 "Les Dames Galantes" by Jean-Charles Tacchella, with Richard Borhinger and Jean-Daniel Verhaeghe’s "Eugenie Grandet" with Jean Carmet and in 1997 "Vive la République" by Eric Rochant.

The year 2000 saw the shooting of two television films: "Objective Bac" by Patrick Volson, with Célarié Clementine, and "Toute la Ville en Parle" by Marc Rivière, with Valerie Kapriski.
